Fisher's most enduring work that tells the story of Sam Minard, a hunter/trapper living and wandering throughout the interior west, that is loosely based on the life of Jeremiah "Liver-Eating' Johnson." This work was the basis the of the Robert Redford movie, Jeremiah Johnson. Also Winner of the Spur Award 1965 for best historical fiction. Very slight bump to top of spine, else a fine, bright copy.
