Also included are sections on mining law and mining education. Much detailed information is provided on individual mines. A letter on pp. 141-143 by Capt. W. W. Lacy provides information on passing through Yellowstone Park: "At the head of the South Snake, and also on the south fork of the Madison, there are hundreds of hot springs, many of which are "geysers.".Some cosmetic touch-up to the leather, two bookplates of former owners on front pastedown sheet, a few pencil notations, else a very good tight copy.
