First Edition. Disbound. 6pp. May 24, 1824. "Read: Ordered that it lie on the table." Governor A. McNair, of Missouri provides a detailed outline of the support for the Santa Fe trade that he believes is needed from the U.S. government. "...the following ideas; from which, if circumstances would allow of their going into operation, much good might, perhaps, result to the young and enterprising of the West, as wells to the nation generally. I mean the interposition of the General Government for the protection of an intercourse between the citizens of the United States and the inhabitants of the Northern and Eastern parts of Mexico." An early appeal to Washington to show more support for the Santa Fe trade. Near fine condition.
