Publication: Wyomingana, Inc, 1932, Casper, Wyoming
First Edition. Blue Cloth. 361pp.+5pp. Chronological Table Of Contents. 20 Plates. 5 Maps. A first-hand narrative of frontier days in Wyoming. An excellent account of the Johnson County War...cattle and hired-guns...the infamous confrontation! Faded on the spine ,like every copy I've ever seen, but exceptionally clean, bright, and without wear. This copy is signed by Malcolm across the lower portion of the frontispiece portrait (the first we've seen, and likely to be uncommon as he died in July, 1932). Interestingly, also laid-in is an invoice for the original purchase of this work from Wyomingana, the publisher. It's dated November 6, 1931, though the copyright date for the book is 1932.
