Published by the Canadian Department of the Interior, this work is No. 6 in the Historic Sites Series, it describes an effort in 1923 by the author, a surveyor with the Land Department of British Columbia, to locate the exact location of Mackenzie's Rock, the western terminus of Sir Alexander Mackenzie's first journey across the North American continent in 1792 & 1793. An excellent, informative report, "With a map showing the course followed by the explorer from Bella Coola, B.C., to the Rock, and illustrated with views along the route." A near fine copy. Inscribed on front wrapper "For Mr. Quaife" (assumed to be Editor & Historian, Milo M. Quaife).
