Don Frazier says : "Will often signed himself as Bill or Bill James to his wife and close friends." Original green cloth has been replaced with green leather, raised bands on the spine, gilt spine decorations and titles stamped in gilt on a red leather spine panel, x [2], 431 [2] pp., frontispiece is a photograph of the author, and numerous illustrations by him. Words "Published August, 1930" and code letter "A" on copyright page. A bit of toning to the front endpapers else a fine, bright, square copy lacking the original dust jacket. A nice collector's copy of this popular author's autobiography. and apparently much appreciated by the original owner.
