2-page typed letter on Chateau Laurier letterhead from the Valley Camp Coal Company of West Virginia to a Mr. E.F. Olsen, purchasing agent for the Manistee & Northeastern Railway Company responding to Mr. Olsen's enquiry about the purchase of 7,000 tons of coal in order to produce salt. According to the Valley Camp Coal Company, they are willing to furnish 3/4" lump coal at $1.35 or 2" lump coal at $1.50, both per ton f.o.b. mine to Manistee via the B&O Railroad. Valley Camp Coal Company was incorporated in 1907. Its business at all times has been the mining and sale of coal. Hole punches to top edge of pages, without loss to any text. 3 horizontal folds as if placed into an envelope. Very good.
