Publication: Government Printing Office, 1880, Washington
House Ex. Doc. No. 95, 47th Congress, 2d Session. First edition. 8vo. Quarter cloth and boards binding, titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover, 6 pp., plus 8 foldout sets of drawings that depict the proposed officers' quarters. The quarters were to be built at Fort Omaha, Nebraska at a cost of $77,403.48, and were strongly recommended by the Secretary of War "as this fort is likely to be a depot and a post reserve for many years." A separate notation requests an adjustment to the original price estimate "owing to the advance in the price of building materials the estimate of June 26, 1879, should be increased." The revised figure is $96,754.36. Fine copy.
