Original document. Folio. Printed form, accomplished by typewriter and by hand. This document grants Allotment Patent 2784 to Ruth Frost, Choctaw by blood, on July 24, 1903. Cites a 1902 Act of Congress providing "that there should be allotted, by the Commission to the Five Civilized Tribes, to each citizen of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations land equal in value to one hundred and sixty acres of the average allottable land of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations, as nearly as may be, as a homestead...." Describes in detail the boundaries of the Ruth Frost homestead, containing 138.74 acres, more or less, as the case may be.... Signed by the Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation and by the Governor of the Chickasaw Nation. Very good copy.
