Allred and entitled, "Rawhide Jelly or Starve."The article is about the starvation endured by Dan Jones and 21 associates left by Mormons at Devil's Lake, Wyoming, to guard freight and livestock that had to be abandoned when John Hunt's wagon company hauled the ill-fated Martin Handcart company to Salt Lake in November 1856.
