First edition. Fine in dust jacket. It all happened on the beach at Santa Monica one Sunday afternoon when Sam Freeman's wife went for a swim. As she swam beyond the breakers a man seemed to be struggling in the strong current, so she asked if he was okay to which he replied, "Is it Friday today?" She answered it was Sunday and the man continued his struggle towards shore where Sam overheard another man who swam towards the struggling man ask "Is it Friday today?" The man said it was and they continued to shore together and hastily left the beach. This involvement put the Freemans as live bait into a trap set for a ring of Russian spies.
