This account covers not only Walker's exploits in the Mexican War which resulted in his death at Huamantla in 1847, but also several forays against the Comanches in Texas and his experiences as a prisoner in the Mier Expedition. I finally heard of a pamphlet issued by the Wyoming Historical Society about Walker. Suffice it to say after much correspondence with Cheyenne and Laramie, and with many dealers all over the country, I discovered that the correct 'Wyoming' was the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania.
