Folding map : "Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Routes and Connections with 3,000,000 Acres of Land For Sale," 18.4 x 66cm. Herd 1210 says, "Rare." Much on agricultural possibilities, including livestock, crops, and grains. The railroad explains in some detail their program to sell their lands, including terms of purchase, discounted railroad ticket plans, etc. Chipped along edges of covers, but text is quite solid, else very good copy. A rare and early promotional housed in a four-point folding imitation leather case with titles stamped in gold on front cover and spine. This exceptionally detailed promotional was used to attract settlers to Kansas. Issued for the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876.
