The Pony Express was a great venture started by the firm of Russell, Majors & Waddell and the Wells, Fargo & Company. In a nutshell the Pony Express proved the plausibility of a transcontinental railroad, and it emphasized the need of an extended telegraphic service. Fine, bright copy in the original glassine dust jacket that is lightly chipped and nicked at the extremities and protected with a transparent polyester, protective dust jacket.
