Some very slight wear to spine ends, else an exceptionally nice copy of a scarce and important account of the early history of the Indian Territory and Oklahoma. Very good-near fine condition. Protected in a beautiful clamshell case with leather spine, raised bands, and title, author, and year of publication in gilt. "Compliments of Emmet Starr" is neatly inscribed in pencil along top edge of front wrapper. Starr was a doctor residing in Oklahoma who quit his medical practice to devote his time to his work as a genealogist and historian for the Cherokee Nation.
