The rear cover panel show pictures of "Wild Bill" James Butler Hickok, "Buffalo Bill" Wm. F. Cody, and a picture of "The Original Texas Jack." Also includes the statement: "Photograph-reproductions are from original photographs owned by 'Texas Jack' and 'Broncho John' Sullivan." "Texas Jack" Sullivan was "Broncho John" Sullivan's son and a friend of Bat Masterson. "Texas Jack" claimed that Masterson taught him his gun skills. "Broncho John" had a Wild West show in 1906. In Herd there are four entries (2197-2200) by "Broncho John," all rare little pamphlets of which Adams says: "These ephemeral little tracts were originally intended to be the basis of a larger work never written." "GUN PLAY" is not cited in either Herd or Six Guns. Rare and in very good condition.
