Stan Jones who wrote the famous "Ghost Riders in the Sky" music. He was born in Douglas, Arizona in 1914 and eventually became a Park Ranger, adopting the title "The Singing Ranger." Jones wrote a number of songs during his lifetime but none captured the nation like "Ghost Riders" which was performed by many singers including Burl Ives, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, etc. to name a few.
