Publication: Privately printed for Fred Mueller Company, 1959, Denver
First edition. 8vo. 10 3/4" x 8" color pictorial wrappers, 72 pp. including the covers, illustrated from photographs and drawings,. This catalog celebrates 1859 - 1959 - 100th Anniversary of the "Rush To The Rockies." This scarce Western catalogue, detailing the cowboy boots, rodeo saddles, work saddles, cowgirl saddles, gear, tack, hats, conchos, fencing tools, and Will James cowboy stories. Also supplied were Navajo Indian blankets, deer hair saddle pads, shoulder holsters, Western cowboy shirts, buckles, and affordable "Twistalene Squaw" dresses. Mueller (d. 1924) founded his first shop in Denver in 1891, and quickly became one of the premier Western saddle makers, who sold the business to his employees in 1917, who successfully continued the firm into the early 1960's. Covers lightly rubbed, a 1/2" closed tear to the fore-edges that is present on each page of the text block, and a tiny closed tear to bottom of front cover that is present in the margin of the first 40 pages. Overall a very good copy of an elusive catalog.
