Inscription Rock has been the repository of inscriptions in its soft, sandstone surface by explorers and travelers dating back to prehistoric Indian "drawings," J. de Onate 1605, and numerous early Spanish inscriptions. Includes inscriptions by Lt. James H. Simpson, E.M. Kern, R.H. Kern, Lt. E.F. Beale, H.B. Mollhausen, A. Bandelier, Frank Cushing, and many others. A fine, bright copy. Dust jacket is lightly rubbed and shows light wear to corners, and occassional light wear to the top edge, very good plus.
