Important mystery contributions for the Dashiell Hammett collector and for the mystery genre at large. Titles include A Man Named Thin, Woman In The Dark, Nightmare Town, Hammett Homicides, The Creeping Siamese, The Continental Op, Dead Yellow Women, The Adventures of Sam Spade, $106,000 Blood Money, and The Return of The Continental Op. Also included are later variants of two of the issued volumes: Dead Yellow Women, Jonathan Press Mystery 129, [1947] (priced 35 cents rather than 25 cents) and The Continental Op, Bestseller Magazine J40, [1949] (different wrapper design). A total of 12 volumes housed in a handsome cloth clamshell case and chemise with a red leather label on the spine and all titles stamped in gold gilt.
