First edition. Cloth, 428pp. Folding map. Notes, bibliography. A well-written biography. Considered by many to be Sandoz's best work, she tells a wonderful story of the life of this great Sioux leader. A warm and sympathetic account as told from the Indian perspective. The author used many interviews originally conducted in 1906 & 1907 by Judge E.S. Ricker such as: Louis Bordeaux, American Horse, Big Bat Pourier, Red Cloud, Standing Bear, and others who were personally familiar with Crazy Horse and his life. She also conducted many interviews herself. Former owner's inked name at top of front pastedown sheet, completely covered by the front flap fold, covers lightly soiled else a very good copy in dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends, corners and extremities.
