Provides a brief sketch of Russell plus three photographs of him, three full-page color reproductions of his artwork, and four bronzes done by Russell. Also Includes stories by A.B. Guthrie (Treasure State: Land of the High Sky); John Steinbeck (The Pure West); Dorothy M. Johnson (Just Plain Prejudiced); Robert H. Fletcher (Montana Territory: Frontier Style); Michael Stephen Kennedy (The Four Moods of Montana); and Bill Browning (Peerless Playground). Also a section on Montana’s Centennial Train venture eastward in April 1964. The train tour included a parade down Pennsylvania Avenue in the Nations’ Capitol and a visit to the New York World’s Fair - where it later would be exhibited for two years. Covers rubbed along the spine with minor wear to the extremities, else a very good copy.
