Frank is an eager, idealistic boy from the East whose dream is to be a cowboy. Although Reece warns young Frank of the dangers of being a cowhand ... "I've seen trail horses kick a man's head off who interrupted them eating grass.... I've had hail and ice cut me to ribbons ..... I've got four arrow holes in my hide and I'm carrying two slugs of lead inside me right now." Regardless of the warnings, Frank wants to be a cowboy ... and he heads off with Reece.
