At the time this booklet was published Minstrel Shows had been and continued to be for years after, a form of audience entertainment that was extremely popular with people. This book points out what to do in order to have a successful show and make money. They also offer minstrel material and entertainment supplies such as songs, wigs, costumes, collars, bosoms, mustaches, beards, make-up kits, crepe hair, theatrical hats, joke books, opening chorus numbers, snappy songs, etc. Illustrations of minstrel costumes, mustaches, wigs, masks, promotional material, etc. The objective was to provide materials to ensure a successful show and Bugbee had everything to accomplish this goal, which they would either sell or rent to interested parties. Small soil mark on rear cover else a near fine, bright copy.
