It is the story of a forty million dollar business from two million tons of bones. The author was a bone buyer and shipper in Dakota Territory and tells of his experiences with hunters and Indians and gives accounts of the numbers of buffalo killed during the great extermination. Much on the impact of the Union Pacific Railroad towards the extermination of the buffalo and the affects on Indians as the result of the slaughter of the buffalo. Fine copy housed in a clamshell case with titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover and spine. Rare.
