Publication: Privately printed, 1941, NP

10" x 6 1/2" with beautiful color artwork by Winold Reiss entitled, "Many White Horses and Eagle Calf - Blackfeet Indians." The Empire Builder was started by the Great Northern on June 11, 1929, and displaced the Oriental Limited as the railroad's premier train. The train's name honored James J. Hill, known as "The Empire Builder" who reorganized several failing railroads into the Great Northern Railway and extended the line to the Pacific Northwest. 4 panels, printed in blue ink. Offers both a Club Breakfast Service Menu and also an A LA Carte Breakfast Service Menu. At center of interior fold is a wartime notice .... "BUY A U.S. BOND TODAY FOR DEFENSE." Rear panel offers culinary recipes for Great Northern Health Cake Batter, Wenatchee Apple Marmalade and a recipe for G.N. Style's Baked Apples. Minor wear to the extremities. Very good.
