Publication: Racine: Whitman Publishing, 1938,
First edition. Fine in pictorial stiff wrappers. A "Better Little Book." The big nosed little Indian makes his way East where his beloved Minnie-Ha-Cha and her Buckskin Babes are appearing on Broadway. The primary attraction is a traveling show operated by the Great Gusto, who bears a curious resemblance to W.C. Fields. Big Chief Wahoo was one of the early Native Americans, after the Canyon Kids, to have star billing in a comic strip [as distinguished from the more ubiquitous Indian sidekicks of the Lone Ranger, Red Ryder et al]. Exceptional condition for a "Big Little Book."
