17" x 23" oblong sheet folded to 24 panels, each 8-1/2" x 3-3/4." Describes Puget Sound is a vast inland sea, studded with emerald islands. Descriptions of various routes for tourists, beginning in Seattle with tours lasting an hour to a month's cruise. Briefly describes Tacoma, the gateway to Rainier National Park and Seattle. Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount Baker, Mount Hood, and Mount Olympus are all visible from Puget Sound. Brief information about Port Townsend, the Bay of Port Townsend, Port Williams - the center of one of the finest farming and dairying districts on the Sound, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Dungeness, Port Angeles - the seat of the first United States Custom House in this area. Plenty of fishing can be found at peaceful Lake Crescent. Further up the Strait are the towns of Port Crescent, Gettysburg, Clallam Bay, et. al. Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, the San Juan Island - the largest and most prosperous island, Orcas Island is next in size and almost bisected by the waters of East Sound. Mount Constitution is located on Orcas Island and gives a birds-eye view of all the islands. Information pertaining to the fish traps on the Sound that supply the canneries such as "Beautiful Bellingham." At the opposite end of the Sound lies rugged Hood Canal. It offers big game hunting such as deer, bear, and cougar. Information pertaining to the Navy Yard Route. "DISTANCES FROM SEATTLE TO" lists many places to travel to and the mileage it takes to get there. The map also shows a beautiful red sunset, railroads, automobile roads and electric lines.
