First edition. 6" x 9" oblong, green and silver gilt on tan paper stock, 32 pp., double column with text provided side-by-side in English and Spanish, illustrated with five full-page plates, floor plan. The frontispiece is a birds-eye view of the Baldwin Locomotive Works with the following page providing a ground plan showing the location of Shops of the Baldwin Locomotive Works. The three locomotives exhibited at the Pan American Exposition of 1901 are individually illustrated on a full-page plate and described throughout the text. Emphasis is given to the special features of construction adopted by the railroad companies they represent. Minor vertical crease to front cover, tiny chip to the lower corners of the first three pages, and light toning to the rear cover, else a very good copy.
