Presents a brief history of the area starting with World War I when the facility was occupied as the San Antonio Remount Depot, where hundreds of horses and mules were kept as replacement animals for the Army. This portion is followed by a short description of the War Department Personnel Center and its responsibilities. The book is broken down into approximately forty-eight sections each with a group photograph and identification of its members. There is a nineteen-page directory, broken down by rank, of each officer and enlisted man and includes their home address. The same type information was also provided for the WAC Detachment members, Designed as a memento of the unit, it is very scarce with WorldCat locating no copies.

Oversized covers lightly used else a very good copy of an interesting memento of World War II.
