Pictorial cloth, vii (3), 216 pp., foreword, over 100 drawings by the author. Santee lived on the Apache Reservation, ran wild horses with them and made many close friends among them. The result is an intimate knowledge of and a deep affection for the Apache and his country. Cloth spine a bit darkened, lightly soiled on the rear cover, else a near fine, bright, tight copy in dust jacket with spine panel, a bit darkened, light wear to the spine ends and corners, and top edges tanned.
