First Edition. Red Cloth, with paper label on spine, xiv [2], 296 [1]pp., Frontispiece, colored portrait of Geronimo. Illustrated with 8 additional Plates. Index. "This deals with life in Tombstone and the outlaws and gunmen of that period, such as the Earps, Johnny Behan, Doc Holliday, Luke Short, Billy Breakenridge and others. It gives an account of the OK Corral fight, and says Stuart Lake wrote the best account of this tragedy, but today few who know the details of this fight will agree with him."--Adams One-Fifty 31. Of special interest, laid-in is a very rare addition: "Epilogue To Apache Agent. A Transcript Of Additional Material Not Contained In The Original Book, Privately Issued For The Family Only, In An Edition Of Ten Copies." 15 pages, stapled, typescript, on recto only. This rare addition recounts Clums return from Los Angeles for a visit to San Carlos and Tombstone in 1931. Former owner's name stamped on front and rear pastedown sheets, on bottom edge of title page, and on bottom of page 292, very lightly foxed on frontis, title page, and fore-edges, else very good in dust jacket that has three creases caused by the dust jacket being stored in a file-folder. Newspaper clippings regarding Clum are neatly tipped-in on rear blank endpapers. Signed by author on front free-endpaper. An important biography made even more so by the Epilogue laid-in.
