Carrie Mary McLain moved to Alaska about 1910 and taught school on the Seward Peninsula, primarily in Nome, Alaska for many years. She died in 1973 and was buried in Nome. The community museum in Nome is named in her honor. This book is a first-hand account of the Alaskan Gold Rush and how it influenced the growth and character of Nome. 23 pages of black and white photographs.Light wear to the extremities. Very good. A very interesting and enlightening book.
