Journal written by Jerry Bryan and Charles Hallenbeck concerning their trip to mine gold in the Black Hills with their companion Fred (Fritz) Krell, starting March 13 in Cordova, Illinois and returning August 20, 1876. Gold mining in the Black Hills, some mention of the Civil War, Custer, lawlessness, etc. Six Guns 308 says "Has some material on the killing of Wild Bill Hickok." A fine copy.
