Bourke often made his notes in the field. He served for fourteen years under Crook in Arizona and the Southwest. Previous owners bookplate on front pastedown. Minor professional reinforcement of the internal front hinge, with light wear to spine ends and corners. Most of the gilt on spine has oxidized.
