A brief tale about the aircraft carrier the U. S. S. Hornet during World War II in the South Pacific. Tom Lea, at the time, was a Life magazine war correspondent. Lowman 25 says "This book records a conversation in a Chungking restaurant concerning a mountain, a silver coin embossed with the head of a grizzly bear, and a certain General Quarters aboard the carrier Hornet just out of Bougainville." Fine in lightly soiled dust jacket with a small closed tear to the top edge of the front cover panel and a tiny closed tear to the top edge of the rear cover panel.
