Vintage borderless black and white 6 3/4" x 9 1/4" reference photograph from the 1959 French film, showing actress Bernadette Lafont. With a stamp noting the film's French title on the verso. Based on Stanley Ellin's 1952 novel, "The Key To Nicholas Street." A wealthy vintner finds it difficult to balance the demands of his wife, his children, his best friend, and his recently murdered mistress. Set and shot on location in Aix-en-Provence, France the film was directed by Claude Chabrol, who was also a screenwriter, Paul Gegauff, screenwriter, Stanley Ellin, author, and starring Bernadette Lafont, Antonella Lualdi, Madeline Robinson, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jacques Dacgmine, Andre Jocelyn, and Jeanne Valerie. A faint small corner crease to the top left corner, else a fine, bright copy.
