First edition. 4to. Inscribed on the half title page in the year of publication: "December 25, 1975 / To ---- / with Best Wishes / Lela Karr / Lee Karr." Decorated hardcover, titles stamped in white on the front cover and spine, two different photographs on the front and rear endpapers, 112 pp., numerous photographs. A collection of over 200 black and white photos of cowboy ropers (mostly Texans) taken by Lee Karr, 1974-75. In 1973 photographer Lee Karr and his wife Lela, moved to Del Rio, Texas he had previously had a studio in Georgetown, Texas. It was at this time they traveled the state seeking the men who made up this rare annual of the Texas cowboy ropers. A photograph gallery of many old-time and contemporary steer-roping competitors from around the Southwest, mostly from West Texas. Tiny spot to front cover, a few pages with minor soiling else a near fine copy without dust jacket, as issued.
